At a glance

Planning for removal of existing concrete and installation of new residential concrete. Repair-only work is not offered.

The project scope

What your project can include.

Existing concrete removal

Identify the concrete to be demolished and how debris can leave the property.

New slab planning

Plan the footprint, base, drainage, joints, finish, access, and intended use of the new concrete.

Replacement planning

Compare removal and replacement where movement, deterioration, or layout problems limit repair options.

Confirm full replacement scope

The request must involve removing existing concrete and installing new concrete. Repair-only, patching, resurfacing, and coating requests are outside this service.

Plan transitions and drainage

Record adjoining doors, walks, driveways, drains, and slopes so the new surface can be planned around them.

Escalate structural concerns

Rapid changes, significant displacement, or cracks affecting a load-bearing structure call for qualified professional evaluation. Do not cover over evidence of a potentially serious problem.

Separate winter wear from the cause of movement

Record when the damage appeared, whether it changes, and where water collects. A patch or coating should not be presented as a cure for ongoing movement. Compare repair limits with full-panel replacement.

About removal & replacement

A few good questions.

Do you take concrete repair-only calls?

No. This service is limited to projects that remove existing concrete and install new concrete.

Will new concrete match the existing slab?

Fresh concrete often differs in color and texture from aged surfaces. Discuss the visual result and joint layout before replacement.

Can concrete be guaranteed never to crack?

No. Concrete can develop cracks even with good design and construction. Preparation, curing, and planned joints help manage risk and crack locations; they do not eliminate every crack.
